How to change IP Address?

I am having xbox prombles and someone suggested to change my IP address and I don't know how to do that. So can someone tell me how to change it?How to change IP Address?

Most IP's are set and rarley change. The only way to is unplug your cable modem for about 10mins then after that it might issue a new IP. Unless you know what your doing you can always configure it through the router
There are couple different way that you can change your ip address:-

First method :-

Get to a command prompt. (START/ run/ cmd).

Type ipconfig /release

Type ipconfig /renew



Second option

Get to a command prompt. (START/ run/cmd).

Type ipconfig /release

Turn off computer.

Turn off all ethernet hubs/switches.

Turn off cable/DSL modem.

Leave off overnight.

Turn everything back on.

Network with Router



Third Method

Log into the router's admin console. (Often http://192.168.1.1/)

Release the IP address. (Method varies by router manufacturer)

Turn off router, ethernet hubs/switches, and the cable/DSL modem.

Leave off overnight.

Turn everything back on.
If he means external IP then you can't change that. That's set by the internet service provider. If he means internal IP then my two ideas are press and hold the reset button on your router which should re-lease the IP which might give you a new one or there should be settings on the Xbox in the settings to change it.
