How to change static ip to dynamic ip?

i have a modem( i use hathway) i have used several methods like swithcing off and on the modem to change ip and also by typing ipconfig/relase and ipconfig/renew but none of these methods worked ..





and the network guy has already selected the ';obtain ip address automatically'; when installing the modem....plss hlp me!!





mine is a static ip ...please tell me how to change ip with/without software......and please provide relevent links..How to change static ip to dynamic ip?

ur ip is generated by dhcp and is assigned to your modem, the dhcp is on your ISPs side

and u cant change ur ip from static to dynamic....thats something your isp can do but not you
